Few Czechs satisfied with democracy - poll ... Police in Thailand have fired fresh rounds of tear gas at anti-government demonstrators gathered in the Thai capital's historic district to force them to disperse.
Hours earlier police used tear gas to disperse thousands of protesters massed outside the Thai parliament. Sixty-five people were injured in that clash, some critically. Roughly 4,500 police are facing off in several locations against thousands of supporters of the People's Alliance for Democracy, who are demanding that the government step down. The PAD opposes the government's plans to amend the country's constitution, saying it aims to help ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra.
