In her first policy address since being appointed Israel's prime minister designate, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni warned that time was running out for a peace agreement with the Palestinians.
Livni said she was determined to press ahead with the Annapolis peace talks, referring to a US-sponsored peace conference last November that restarted negotiations on a Palestinian state. She also said political changes could not be allowed to stand in the way as doing nothing would weaken moderate leaders in the region.
