The US military in Iraq says its forces have killed an Al-Qaeda militant who planned some of the biggest bombings in Baghdad.
It said in a statement that Mahir Ahmad Mahmud al-Zubaydi, who also killed a group of Russian diplomats in 2006, was killed along with an unidentified woman in a Sunni district of Baghdad on Friday.
