Newman was nominated for 10 Oscar awards throughout his career, winning one for the movie "The Color of Money" in 1987, as well as two honorary Oscars. Some of his other famous films included "Cool Hand Luke", "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," and "The Sting." In May, Newman said he had to drop plans to direct a production of John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men," due to health reasons.
