Russian and Venezuelan officials have signed two deals to boost cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his Venezuelan counterpart, Hugo Chavez, witnessed the signing ceremony in the Russian city of Orenburg. This comes a day after Chavez met outside Moscow with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who offered Russian help in developing nuclear power in Venezuela. Putin also offered to cooperate with Venezuela in military and technological activities.
