Pirates off the coast of Somalia have seized a ship a Ukrainian ship carrying 30 tanks.
East African maritime authorities said the ship was carrying 21 crew members, most of them of Ukrainian and Russian. It was on its way to the Kenyan port of Mombasa to unload the T-72 tanks. Piracy is rife off the Somali coast, with armed groups now holding over a dozen ships and around 200 crew members captive.
