Bush in Washington to discuss the administration's financial rescue package. The emergency White House meeting comes after Bush appealed to Congress to pass the administration's proposed bailout package. In a nationally televised address, Bush warned that the current financial crisis could push the economy into a prolonged recession unless dealt with soon. The financial crisis is also impacting on the presidential campaign for the White House.
