More support for provincial autonomy in Bolivia ... Polls have opened for parliamentary elections in Slovenia with a bribery scandal hanging over the government.
Prime Minister Janez Jansa and other officials have been accused of taking bribes from a Finnish defence contractor in 2006. The opposition left have put on a show of unity in a bid to regain power after four years of centre-right rule. Neither party is expected to win outright and will likely need to seek allies after the vote to ensure a majority in parliament, and gain a mandate to form a new Cabinet.
