Tropical storm Fay is likely to strengthen to hurricane force as it approaches the island of Cuba.
A state of emergency has been declared by the governor of Florida after the storm caused flooding in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in which four people died. If the storm continues on its present course it would skirt Cuba but could hit Florida early on Monday.
