The Israeli cabinet has given final approval for a prisoner swap with the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.
Israel's deputy prime minister, Eli Yishai, made the announcement following a cabinet meeting. The deal had faced opposition from some cabinet ministers who object to trading prisoners for the bodies of Israeli troops.
