German airline Lufthansa says it has canceled over 150 flights because of a pilot strike at its CityLine and Eurowings subsidiaries.
The walkout affects flights in Germany and across Europe. The pilots' union, Cockpit, says flights from Munich and Frankfurt are hardest hit. The union says it organized the 24-hour work stoppage in an effort to win better salaries and that employers had not made any concrete offers in the ongoing round of negotiations. Warning strikes by the union disrupted German air traffic in May and June as part of the ongoing wage dispute.
