Japan's prime minister says his country aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 60 to 80 percent by the year 2050.
Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda also said that Japan will contribute 1.2 billion dollars to an international greenhouse gas reduction fund. Japan is the world's fifth-largest emitter of greenhouse gases.
