In sports: Germany are opening their campaign at the European soccer championship with a game against Poland in Klagenfurt.
After a half hour of play, Germany had a 1-0 lead. Earlier, Croatia beaten the co-hosts of the tournament, Austria, by a score of 1-0. The only goal of the match came on a penalty from Croatian midfielder Luka Modric in the 4th minute. In tennis: Rafael Nadal has beaten Roger Federer in straight sets 6-,1 6-3, 6-0 to win his fourth consecutive French Open title.
