Turkey's top court has ruled that Islamic headscarves cannot be allowed at universities.
The Constitutional Court verdict says amendments passed by parliament earlier this year are against the secular principles of the constitution. The decision is considered a defeat for the Islamic-oriented government, which tried to free the Islamic attire as a matter of religious and personal freedoms.
