The German dairy industry has threatened to sue dairy farmers in response to their ongoing refusal to deliver milk.
A dairy industry association manager told the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung paper that the boycott was illegal and members should consider taking legal action. German dairy farmers have been protesting low milk prices since last week. On Monday they blocked the entrances to numerous dairy processors. The German farmers' association is demanding a minimum of 43 cents per litre. Currently, farmers get between 25 and 35 cents per litre of milk.
