Deutsche Post Chief Investigated for Suspected Tax Evasion ... Korean special prosecutors have indicted the chairman of the Samsung Group, Lee Kun-hee, for tax evasion and breach of trust. The announcement comes at the end of an investigation into alleged corruption at the conglomerate that began in January.
The conglomerate itself has been cleared of bribery allegations, but prosecutors said billions of dollars in Lee's assets had been hidden. The investigation was launched after a former top legal executive at the group accused some of its top management of hiding money and keeping a slush fund of more than $200 million to bribe officials.
