At least six civilians are reported to have been killed and 15 injured in a car bomb blast near the airport in the Afghan capital Kabul.
Officials say a car pulled up alongside an armoured vehicle during rush hour and exploded.
Witnesses say the car was completely destroyed.
The airport road is regularly used by foreign troops deployed in the country.
No coalition forces are reported to have been injured in the attack but troops surrounded the area.
The road has been the scene of a series of suicide attacks by Taleban insurgent fighters in recent years.

I was just 3 or 4 kilometre away from the explosion site, I heard a shattering voice of the exposition, in few minutes I heard siren of police vehicles blocking the road to Kabul International Airport, just in around 10 minutes I saw police vehicles carrying victims of the explosion to the hospital, there was a panic among the people when they saw police vehicles carrying injured civilians.

I live near the site, it was terrible. the blast was so heavy and could be heard from far away. it also broke mirrors of the houses nearby. The blast took place between 8 to 8:10 am Kabul time. At this time most of the government employees and workers from different agencies go to work... the road is currently blocked and many ambulances are rushing to the site.
